The largest of three holiday properties at Thatch Close Cottages, Bramble’s Barn is ideal for families or a few friends looking to escape to the country.

A beautiful 17th Century threshing barn, formerly a byre (cow shed) for our Jersey cow, Bramble (hence the name). Bramble’s Barn has been wonderfully renovated, combining many the original features with everything you’d expect for modern day living, including underfloor heating throughout. It boasts spectacular views from the bedrooms and from the full height mezzanine. So it makes it easy for you to just stop and relax for a while as you watch the world go by.

Enter the property into the open plan living, kitchen and dining area. All fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy your self-catering holiday, including Miele kitchen appliances as well as a smart TV. So you can catch up on your favourite programmes or maybe watch a movie; or if you prefer listen to some tunes (there’s an iPod dock and stereo).

The dining table comfortably seats 8 people, so if you are booking 2 properties collectively (Threshing Barn), there is space to all eat together. There is also a downstairs WC.

Upstairs leads to a mezzanine area, which is the ideal second lounge area. Somewhere older children enjoy having their own space, or maybe for the grown-ups to escape to take in the views and enjoy some quiet time.

The mezzanine area leads to two bedrooms at either end. Both have en-suite bedrooms and the beds can either be configured as double or twin. Both options will be made up with quality bed linen, so you can fall into a nice, comfy bed at the end of your day. Then you’ll awake to the sound of birdsong, surrounded by breath-taking views, a perfect start to the day.

You will have your own enclosed patio where you can enjoy outside dining or spend some time relaxing with a good book. Maybe you’ll sit here and enjoy your favourite tipple as you plan your next day of adventures.

Level parking is provided on a gravel drive.
