Edward and Marian are your hosts. Guest often ask how to pronounce our surname (‘Drimalski’) and its origins, which is from Poland.
Married for 50 years, with adult children: Chris, a London fireman, whilst Nick runs a Dubai IT company. After working for VSO in Nigeria, Marian returned to teaching and Edward to agricultural research, teaching & civil service. We moved to South Herefordshire to familiar territory and raise our children in an idyllic rural environment. Here, we ran a small-holding, making our own sausages & bacon, which helped when Marian started Thatch Close B&B.
We then converted the 17th century farm buildings into quality holiday cottages. Following an injury, we realised disabled people had difficulty finding accessible places to visit and stay. With guidance from organisations and disabled friends, the resulting barn conversion design offers a high level of practical accessibility and an ideal place for families and pets to share and enjoy our rural Herefordshire haven. We look forward to welcoming you soon.
